The mark

Deep Cut Collective was a new events brand with a love for disco, funk and soul, and no identity at all.

We wanted to bring back the nostalgic Studio 54 feel of disco at its height, so we studied the patterns, textures, typography and graphics of the era. Nothing else in Cardiff looked like it.

The DCC monogram, in cream on maroon and maroon on orange, grew from pencil and marker sketches.
